this bathroom on apartment therapy - from adrianna & paul's house tour in long beach, california - is where it's at.

they used the granada fez tile pretty much throughout & it's awesome. check out more of their home here.


we just ordered some samples of another great tile from granada for a client - once we have everything together we'll post
the finished concept for the design.

client shopping.

today was a day of vintage shopping for clients & i found quite a few amazing pieces out there but here were two of my fav's.

love the backs on these barstools that swiveled! 

a little refinishing & reupholstering would turn these sexy little barstools into something fabulous.

yep. these are badass (& huge). enough said.

i seriously love finding items that will set a room apart

from the ordinary.

like they say - 'no one ever did anything amazing 

while playing it safe'. (i don't know if anyone has every really said that but if they haven't, they should. cause you don't.)

gym bath concept design.

a few months ago some ridiculously cool and modern clients of mine asked me to help them refinish their living and dining rooms, 

as well as remodel their bathrooms.

we are starting with the bathroom for their home gym & this is the concept they've selected which includes new finishes throughout.

it's going to be quite the transformation and should be complete in the next few weeks so i'll update with finished photos soon!

ace hotel - palm springs.

valentines day is coming up next week and i wanted to share a great little spot in palm springs to visit if you're still looking to make some plans.

a few months back the boy and i went made a trip out to the 

ace hotel for a weekend of relaxing & this place was great.

the casually modern atmosphere is perfect for palm springs and the rooms are stylishly minimal. the light fixture above is one of those items that you either love it or hate it.

i loved it. the red light that it gives off is so sexy.

cute little mini bar & snacks.

a small seating area with a fireplace outside our room (which i love the hotel - but these things needed to be recovered in something that doesn't wear like this. call me ace - i can help).

the rest of the property is pretty rad - the lobby has an amazing art install of ropes and knots - which have been featured in many-a-photoshoots. the pool area is also a really great set up to party with friends & they have some great adult friendly spiked sno-cones. yep. they're pretty cool.

i snapped this sneak peek a while back when a kitchen we were finishing was being cleaned. the color of the glass tile from 

Ann Sacks was distorted in this photo but it's a gorgeous 

grey glass (& note the awesome cobalt blue knobs on the range).

now it's time for furniture & finishing touches -
